Cast your four pillars
Enter a birth date and time and you will see the eight characters of the chart — the four pillars, their five-element make-up, the stems hidden inside each branch, and how each one stands to the Day Master. It is the same arithmetic every practitioner starts from, and there is no reason it should cost anything.
The calculation runs in this browser tab. Nothing is sent to us, and there is nothing to delete afterwards.
What this is: the mechanical chart — the calendar arithmetic, computed the way our reports compute it, with the school settings named. What it is not: a reading. The characters above say nothing on their own; what they mean together, and what they mean for the years ahead, is the work — and that is the part we do.
If you want the reading
The BaZi Life Chart takes the chart above and reads it — temperament, the shape of the decade cycles, and where the timing is genuinely open rather than fixed. It records every school setting it used, so another analyst could check the work.

Every school setting, named
The chart above is not the only chart your birth details could produce. Schools disagree on where a day turns and where a year turns, and each disagreement moves a pillar. Here is what this page chose, and what your report records.
Conventions applied
Fixed before the chart is drawn
-
Year boundary
The year pillar turns at the exact instant of 立春, not at Lunar New Year. A birth in late January or early February often carries the previous year's pillar.
-
Month boundary
The month branch turns at the twelve 节, the solar terms that open each month — never at a new moon. Born within a day of one and the month pillar can go either way, so the instant matters, not the date.
-
Day boundary
The day turns at 11pm, the start of 子时, not at midnight. Some schools turn it at midnight instead. Born between 11pm and midnight and the two conventions give different day pillars — this page tells you when that applies to you.
-
Hour basis
Pillars are read off the legal clock time you entered, not off true solar time. Singapore ran on UTC+7:30 until 1982, which put the clock closer to the sun than it is now; if your birth predates the change, this page says so.
-
Solar term source
A table of solar-term instants from 1940 to 2030, generated from the same ephemeris our reports use and shipped inside the page — which is why the calculation needs no connection to anything.
If you took your details to another analyst tomorrow, this list is what would let them reproduce or challenge the chart. That is the point of it.
