1. I don't know my exact birth time. Can I still do this?
Almost always, yes — and this is the single most common question we get.
Tell us what you do know on the intake form. "Evening", "my mother says just after lunch", "somewhere between 2 and 6pm", or "no idea at all" are all workable answers, and the form asks you to say which.
We cast your chart on the time you give. Many charts are stable across a several-hour window — the hour pillar changes but nothing else moves, and the substance of the reading is unaffected.
If your time sits close enough to an hour boundary to matter, your reading says so plainly — it names which sections depend on that hour and tells you what would settle it. Worth checking first: Singapore birth certificates from around 1970 onward generally record the time of birth. Many people assume theirs does not and find that it does.
If the time is genuinely unknown, the hour-dependent portions are limited and we say so, rather than writing them with false confidence.
How is my reading prepared?
Your chart is calculated from your birth details. The interpretation is checked against the chart, the relevant sources and your question. Each reading is reviewed before delivery, with material uncertainty explained.
Choose English or Simplified Chinese at checkout. Both languages have the same price.
3. Is any of this scientific?
No. And you should be sceptical of anyone who says otherwise.
BaZi and Zi Wei Dou Shu are traditional interpretive frameworks, developed over centuries through observation, argument and text. They have no established causal mechanism and have not demonstrated predictive validity under controlled conditions. We describe them exactly that way in every report.
What they are: structured, internally coherent, unusually detailed vocabularies for thinking about temperament and timing — refined by a great many intelligent people over a very long time, and applied to your specific details rather than to a horoscope column. Some people find that genuinely useful at a decision point. Some do not. Both positions are reasonable, and we would rather you held the sceptical one than a false confident one.
4. What arrives with a full Life Chart, and when?
A PDF of around ten pages for a single-system reading — the Dual Chart runs longer — delivered by email within five working days of your completed intake form — not of your order.
It is a visual document, not an essay. Your chart is drawn in colour on a single plate — the four-pillar table, the element balance as bars, and the ten-year cycles as a strip with your current position marked. The ten-god profile gets its own bars. The writing sits underneath the visuals and explains them.
Fourteen sections: the chart display, the life in brief, the four pillars, the ten gods, then six short cards — character, career and calling, wealth, relationships, health — then this year and next, the current decade, your decision spotlight, the school disagreements that touched your reading, and a one-page summary.
What is not in it: the methodology, the conventions and the account of what the framework cannot tell you. Those are published on this site, in full, before you buy — on the How It Works page — rather than reprinted at the back of a document you have already paid for. Your report carries one closing line naming the framework and The Chart Room.
Full Life Chart readings include up to three written clarifications within 14 days of delivery.
5. What is the full Life Chart decision spotlight?
One question you bring us, examined directly against your chart, in its own section.
It works best when the question is specific. Not "will I be successful" — the framework has nothing useful to say to that. Something like: "I've been offered a role in Jakarta starting in March and I have a nine-year-old. Should I read the next two years as a period to consolidate or a period to move?"
We take the question as you posed it, show which parts of the chart bear on it and which do not, and where the framework has nothing useful to say we write that instead of manufacturing an answer.
It will not tell you what to do. It describes the terrain in enough detail that you can weigh it against everything else you know — which is far more than we know about your life.
6. What are the labels on every claim?
Three, running through the whole report:
- Mechanical fact — what your chart contains. Follows from the calculation.
- Classical doctrine — what the traditional texts say about that configuration, with the source named.
- Analyst interpretation — Mr. Ding's judgement applied to your situation. The most useful part and the least certain. You may disagree with it, and sometimes you should.
Most readings blend these three into one confident voice, because one voice sells better. Separating them lets you see exactly where the certainty stops.
7. BaZi or Ziwei — which should I choose?
BaZi (八字, four pillars) is the better starting point for most people. It is strongest on temperament, on how you tend to move, and on long timing cycles.
Zi Wei Dou Shu (紫微斗数) builds a twelve-palace map — career, wealth, relationships, property, travel and so on — and is more granular by life domain. People with a domain-specific question often find it more direct.
The Dual Chart (S$488) takes both, read separately, and then compares them honestly. Specifically: the full fourteen-section BaZi reading as the spine, then your Ziwei twelve-palace plate drawn in colour with the palace highlights and star profile read on their own terms, then a concordance section marking each theme as agreement, partial agreement, or conflict. The concordance is the reason to take it.
To be exact about what you are buying: the Ziwei half is a palace reading, not a second fourteen-section report. Where the two systems conflict, we show you both positions rather than blending them into one smooth story — which is what usually happens elsewhere, quietly. And where they agree, the section says plainly that the two systems share a calendar and a cultural grammar and are not independent, so agreement is worth noticing but is not confirmation.
Still unsure: take BaZi. If it lands and you want the other view, the Ziwei chart later still works.
8. Do you sell charms, amulets, or anything to fix the year?
No. What you get is guidance — what your chart favours, where the timing is open, what to lean on. Never a charm, an amulet or a cure, unconditionally, and there is no tier or upsell where they appear.
No charms, no amulets, no talismans, no bracelets, no placements, no rituals, no protective date selections, and no referrals to anyone who sells them. There is no commission arrangement anywhere in this business.
The reason is structural: we will never be in a position where finding a problem in your chart makes us money. That is the mechanism behind most of what goes wrong in this industry.
9. Will you tell me something frightening?
No. We do not sell fear, and we do not predict death, terminal illness, or disaster — not directly, and not by describing a year in a way engineered for you to draw the conclusion yourself.
Where a period in your chart carries pressure or volatility, we describe it as pressure or volatility, in the same register we would use for a period of ease. In this framework, a demanding year is a year of movement and demand — not a punishment, and not a thing you need to buy protection from.
If you are asking because you are frightened about something specific, we would rather say that honestly and point you to a doctor or a counsellor than answer it from a chart.
10. Can you read my partner's / my boss's / a candidate's chart?
Not without their knowledge and agreement.
Someone's chart is a document about them, and their birth data is their personal data. Compatibility and relational readings are welcome when both people provide their details and both know what is being produced. The intake form asks you to confirm consent, and we will follow up if anything looks otherwise.
We also will not produce readings used to make decisions about other people — hiring, custody, and similar. And we do not read charts for anyone under 18, including at a parent's request.
11. Will you tell me whether to take the job / buy the property / marry them?
No. We describe patterns; we do not issue directives.
Specifically excluded, by policy: medical advice of any kind, legal advice, investment or financial instructions, marriage decisions, and fertility questions. If your question is really a question for a doctor, a lawyer, or a licensed financial adviser, we say so and point you there rather than answering it.
The decisions stay yours. A reading is one input, and not the heaviest one.
12. What does the S$288 full Life Chart include?
The S$288 full Life Chart covers broader life themes. The S$108 Career & Business Direction Reading focuses on your working life and career options.
S$288 buys a document about your chart specifically: the full computation drawn out in colour, the school disagreements that touched your reading surfaced in their own section rather than smoothed over, claim-by-claim labelling of fact versus judgement, your own question in a dedicated section, and three written questions, within fourteen days, to the person who wrote it. The corrections, the conventions and the framework's limits are published on this site in full, where you can read them before deciding.
A blunt test you can apply to any provider: ask what day-boundary convention they used, and what your reading would have been under the other one. The answer, or its absence, tells you which object you are buying.
13. What if I gave you a wrong birth detail, or I’m not satisfied?
A wrong birth detail is corrected free before delivery. If the date, hour or place you gave us was wrong, tell us before the reading is sent and we cast the chart again at no charge; if the chart changes, delivery may take up to five further working days.
Once the reading has been sent it is final. It is personalised work written for one chart, and it is not revised or refunded because the interpretation is not what you hoped for. Within fourteen days, full Life Chart readings include up to three written clarifications; Career & Business Direction includes one consolidated written clarification about the report and original career context. A chart cast wrongly from correct details is our error and is corrected free at any time.
Full terms in the refund policy.
14. What happens to my birth data?
It is used to produce your reading, and for nothing else. It is never sold, never used for marketing, never used to train anything, and never sent to an advertising platform.
The intake form carries no ad pixels and no third-party analytics — a deliberate design choice, so that your birth details never pass through advertising infrastructure. The shop pages are a different surface: they run Shopify's analytics and, once advertising begins, a Google Ads conversion tag and a Meta advertising pixel. Those run on storefront pages only — never on the intake form, never on the chart-cast, never on any page that asks when you were born. They see that a page was viewed and that a purchase happened. They never see birth data, because birth data is not collected anywhere they run. We also do not upload customer lists to any advertising platform, or build audiences by matching your details against one.
We retain your chart and report so that you can return — for a Year Reading, a follow-up, or a future chart — without re-establishing everything. You can ask us to delete everything at any time — before, during, or years after — and we do it within seven days and confirm in writing. No reason needed. There is no automatic expiry date on your chart; there is a standing right to have it erased, which is the stronger of the two.
Full detail in the privacy policy.
15. Who is Mr. Ding?
Mr. Ding 丁 is the Principal Analyst, and writes every report personally.
The method is built from the classical sources in the original — 渊海子平, 三命通会, 滴天髓, 子平真诠 and 穷通宝鉴 for BaZi, 紫微斗数全书 for Zi Wei Dou Shu — worked through and documented school by school, and published on this site in full. Every convention in it was tested against decades of historical charts before the first client reading was written.
Behind that sits fifteen years across banking, wealth management and property — industries where a recommendation that cannot show its working does not survive contact with a committee. Sourcing a claim, labelling it by type and stating your uncertainty before someone else finds it are ordinary habits there, and they transfer unusually well to a tradition that has rarely been asked for them.
Every report is read line by line and signed before it goes out. No lineage is claimed here; the method is shown instead — every convention published.
