Full Life Chart: what you receive

A PDF of around ten pages for a single-system reading — the Dual Chart runs longer — written for your chart specifically, delivered within five working days of your completed intake form.

It is a visual document, not an essay. The chart is drawn, not described; the element balance and the ten-god profile are read off bars rather than counted out in prose; the decade cycles run as a strip you can put your finger on. The writing sits underneath the visuals and explains them. Fourteen sections.

The plates — your chart, drawn

§ 1 — Chart display

The whole chart on one plate, in colour: the four-pillar table (the twelve palaces and their stars, in Zi Wei Dou Shu) with every element coloured, so the shape of the chart is visible before you have read a word about it; element bars showing how much wood, fire, earth, metal and water the chart carries and where the weight sits; and the ten-year cycle strip, your long periods laid end to end with your current position marked on it.

Where your birth time sits close to an hour boundary, the reading says so plainly on this plate: it names the boundary, marks which sections depend on the hour being right, and tells you what record would settle it. You are told what hangs on that half hour rather than left to discover it later.

§ 2 — The life in brief

One page. What the chart is, in plain sentences, before any of the detail. If you read nothing else, you have read something true.

§ 3 — The four pillars

Your chart taken part by part — the four pillars in BaZi, the palaces and their stars in Zi Wei Dou Shu — with what each is and what it is doing. Almost entirely mechanical fact: what the chart contains, not what anyone thinks about it. Every term is explained the first time it appears. If you have never met the phrase Day Master, you will understand it by the end of this section and it will not be assumed again.

§ 4 — The ten gods

The ten-god profile as bars: which relationships to your Day Master are loud in this chart, which are quiet, and which are absent altogether. This is the part that most changes how the rest of the report reads, which is why it gets a picture rather than a paragraph.

The palace cards — the chart, applied

Six short sections, each on its own card, each tied back to what is on the plates.

§ 5 — Character

How you approach risk, authority, obligation and change. What you reach for when things are going well and what you reach for when they are not. Written as tendencies, not verdicts — the framework describes patterns, and you are the person who knows whether the pattern fits.

§ 6 — Career and calling

What kinds of work the chart favours, and how the relationship between output and reward tends to run. Where the classical categories map awkwardly onto a modern professional life, we say so rather than pretending the fit is clean.

§ 7 — Wealth

Whether the structure suggests building, accumulating or trading, and how the chart handles resource. Patterns, not instructions, and never a number.

§ 8 — Relationships

Partnership, family, and the way the chart handles obligation to others. Handled without instruction: we will not tell you to marry, to leave, to have children, or when. This section describes patterns. It does not issue directives about your relationships, and it never will.

§ 9 — Health

The classical correspondences your chart carries, described as the tradition describes them and labelled as doctrine. No diagnosis, no prognosis, and no advice — if your question is a question for a doctor, we say so and stop.

Timing

§ 10 — This year and next

The two years immediately ahead and which interactions they activate. Framed as timing pressure and timing support, never as good years and bad years, and never as warnings. A year the framework calls turbulent is a year of movement; what you do with movement is not written anywhere in your chart.

§ 11 — The current decade

Where you sit inside your present long period, how far through it you are, and what the tradition says the remainder of it tends to ask of people with your structure.

The part you asked for

§ 12 — Decision spotlight

One question you bring us, taken seriously and examined directly.

You write it on the intake form. Not "will I be successful" — something real, like: I have been offered a role in Jakarta starting in March and I have a nine-year-old. Should I be reading the next two years as a period to consolidate or a period to move? We take the question as posed and answer it against the actual chart, showing which parts of the chart bear on it and which do not. Where the framework simply has nothing useful to say about your question, that is what we write. It happens, and saying so is more useful than manufacturing an answer.

This section will not tell you what to do. It will tell you what the framework says about the terrain, in enough detail that you can weigh it against everything else you know — which is, in the end, considerably more than we know.

§ 13 — School disagreements

Where a settings choice materially changed your report — the day boundary, the solar-time correction, a contested weighting — we name the choice, name the alternative, and tell you what your reading would have looked like the other way. Sometimes the two readings are close and it does not matter. Sometimes they are not, and you deserve to know that your reading rests on a contested convention.

§ 14 — Summary

The whole thing brought back to one page, so the document ends somewhere rather than trailing off.

And then

Fourteen days, three written questions: ask about what is in the report, answered in writing, at no charge.

Under the signature, one closing line: the reading is prepared by The Chart Room under a traditional interpretive framework. The full method and conventions are published on this site — in full, before you spend anything, rather than reprinted at the back of a document you have already bought.

How it's made

The charts are cast exactly, not estimated

Chart construction is arithmetic — solar terms, sexagenary cycles, timezone and longitude corrections, cycle sequencing. It has exactly one right answer and it is unforgiving. A day-boundary error moves your day pillar; a missed solar-term boundary moves your month pillar; an uncorrected timezone moves your hour.

So every chart here is cast exactly — solar terms to the minute, the calculation conventions recorded, the day boundary declared — and cross-checked against the classical formulas before a word is written. The method itself was rebuilt from the classical sources, school by school, and tested against decades of historical charts. There is no acceptable error rate on the foundation of a document someone is going to make a decision against, so the chart is settled, and checked, before the reading begins.

The arithmetic is finished first. The writing is mine. Neither is allowed to do the other's job.

Three labels, running through everything

Every substantive claim in the report carries one of three labels:

Label Means You should
Mechanical fact This is what your chart contains. It follows from the calculation. Take it as given, or check it — the conventions we cast under are published on this page.
Classical doctrine This is what the traditional texts say about that configuration, with the source named. Take it as what the tradition holds, which is not the same as what is true.
Analyst interpretation This is my judgement, applied to your situation. Weigh it. Disagree with it if it does not fit. It is the most useful part and the least certain.

Most readings blur these three into one confident voice, because one confident voice sells better. Separating them out means you can see precisely where the certainty ends — and it ends earlier than the industry usually admits.

Disagreements disclosed, not resolved silently

There is no single unified BaZi, and no single unified Zi Wei Dou Shu. Schools differ on the day boundary (midnight or 11pm), on whether and how to apply true solar time, on the weighting of certain relationships, and on which of the classical texts governs when two conflict.

A practitioner has to choose. That is fine. What is not fine is choosing silently and presenting the result as the reading. Where a settings choice materially changed your report, we name the choice, name the alternative, and tell you what your reading would have looked like the other way. Sometimes the two readings are close and it does not matter. Sometimes they are not, and you deserve to know that your reading rests on a contested convention.

Plain language, and terms explained once

Written in your selected report language, English or Simplified Chinese, with specialist terms explained. Chinese terms appear with their characters and a plain-English gloss on first use — Day Master (日主, the element representing you in your own chart) — and are not assumed thereafter. No untranslated jargon. No mystique built out of vocabulary.

Where the method lives

The full methodology and the conventions are published on this site — the timezone handling, the true-solar-time correction, the day-boundary convention, the school settings, and the account of what the framework cannot tell you. All of it is readable before you spend anything, and none of it is held back for buyers.

That is a deliberate split. The method belongs on the website, where a sceptic can interrogate it without paying; the report belongs to you, and should spend its pages on your chart rather than on our disclosures. Your report carries one closing line naming the framework and the charter, and a link to it.

What we need from you

Your date, time and place of birth. After checkout you will get a link to a short form — three minutes. Delivery timing starts when that form is complete: three working days for Career & Business Direction, five for full Life Chart readings, not when you order, so there is no clock running on you while you check a detail.

Don't know your birth time? Tell us what you know — "evening", "between 2 and 6pm", "no idea at all" are all workable answers. We cast your chart on the time you give, and many charts are stable across a several-hour window. Where your time sits close enough to an hour boundary to matter, the reading says so plainly: it names the boundary, marks which sections depend on the hour being right, and tells you what record would settle it. Singapore birth certificates from around 1970 onward generally record the time; it is worth a look before you write the form off. If the time is genuinely unknown, the hour-dependent portions are limited and we say so rather than writing them with false confidence.

For a full Life Chart, one current question for its decision spotlight. For the Career & Business Direction Reading, include all related career concerns and the options you are considering. The more specific, the more useful the section.

Full Life Chart add-ons

30-Day Q&A Window — S$88. Up to five written questions in the thirty days after delivery, each answered within three working days. Most useful for people whose decision is still live after the report lands.

Express Delivery — S$188. Delivery within 2 working days of your completed intake form instead of five working days. Same report, same fourteen sections, nothing trimmed — only the queue position changes. If we miss 48 hours, we refund this add-on without being asked.

Before you buy

  • 18+ only.
  • Your chart only, unless you have the other person's consent to share their birth details. We will ask.
  • Guidance, not objects. You get what your chart favours, where the timing is open and what to lean on. No charms, amulets, bracelets or lucky dates are sold or recommended here, by us or by anyone we would refer you to.
  • No medical, legal, investment, marriage or fertility directives. If your question is really a question for a doctor, a lawyer, or a licensed financial adviser, we will say so and point you there.
  • This is a traditional interpretive framework, not scientifically validated prediction.
  • The decisions remain yours. A reading is one input among many, and not the heaviest one.

Corrections, and what is final

A wrong birth detail is corrected free before delivery. If you discover the date, hour or place you gave us was wrong, tell us before the reading is sent and I cast it again at no charge. If the chart changes, delivery may take up to five further working days.

Once the reading has been sent it is final. It is written for one chart and one question, and it is not revised or refunded because the interpretation is not what you hoped for. You keep fourteen days to ask up to three written questions about what is in it.

Your data deleted on request, whenever you ask. Before, during, or years after. Your birth details, your intake responses, your report. Ask and it is gone, and you get written confirmation that it is.

What this does not cover, stated so you are not surprised: we cannot refund on the grounds that the framework itself is not true, or that the reading did not predict something. We are explicit up front that this is a traditional interpretation and not validated prediction — on this page and on every product page, all of it published before you buy. The commitment is to the work being done properly: a chart cast wrongly from correct details is our error and is corrected free at any time. It is not a wager on metaphysics.

Full terms in the refund policy.
